Jumping into the Blogoverse

Well, life is full of surprises. It was a moment of joy to be selected for the nationwide quiz cum reality show Quiz Mania 2012, representing my college GEMS. To my sheer delight I snatched the 1st runner up trophy along with the scholarship in Islington College to continue my career pursuit. Introducing myself, I am Srawan Kumar Shrestha. It was my life changing experience that gave me opportunity to be a part of an institution with such an international recognition. So, I'd like to thank Islington family for the same.
Talking about the things I indulge myself in my spare times; it’s usually guitar and books. I love singing (though not so well). Besides I also play computer games in my leisure.

As I've mentioned, it was pure luck that drove me to this college which was my fate, I suppose. Computers have always been the subject of amazement to me. Isn't it amazing how an inanimate thing as a computer can save lives! After all the experiences I had in my recent years what I can conclude is that my fate has conspired to direct me to this track which must be the reason why despite all the deviations I came across, I finally joined this course: computing. I loved math from my early school days. I spent my late schools programming simple programs and games using Qbasic while my friends were busy playing CS and chatting on Fb. It was civil engineering which grabbed my attention lately, but I discovered that I was just drifting with the trend and it's not exactly what I wanted. What I realize now is all the things I wanted to do were just illusions which had to fade and it did, for good. I'm sure I'm not going to regret my decision. I've taken my first step to success and still there are miles to go before I sleep.

Here I am, studying Bachelors Degree in Computing in Islington College, Nepal. This is my first launch to the Blogoverse...and wait.. still a lot to come :)
